Death and Dying in the Christian Faith
With Lent upon us, we encounter the reality of our own fragility and mortality, and inevitably, our death. Despite this inevitability, many avoid confronting it! We will explore at least two foundational questions: first, What is the Christian theology behind our mortality and death? In other words, in the Christian faith, what does it mean to die? With that in mind, we move to the second - How do we, as Christians, prepare for it? Is there any such thing as “preparing for a good death?”
Join us in the Parish Hall, 9am, March 1 – 15.
Concert at St. Michael’s – March 14
The Jewish Community of Kaua'i is pleased to host 15 visiting students from Pizmon, a renowned Jewish a cappella group from New York City. On the evening of March 14th at 7:30pm, Pizmon will be putting on an interfaith performance at St. Michael & All Angels Church. The Jewish community invites anyone who is interested in enjoying an evening of Jewish music and culture. The event will include a Havdalah ritual performed at the end of the Jewish Sabbath every Saturday evening, and Karen Dickinson will also grace us with a solo, which will surely be enjoyed by all in attendance.
