The 13th annual All Angels Jazz Festival will be February 1-3, 2019.   

Friday night, February 1st, opens with the Dean Taba quartet, featuring pianist Tommy James in his first appearance at the festival. Also appearing: Noel Okimoto, Abe Lagrimas, Jr., and guest David Braun. The Abe Lagrimas Jr. Quintet appears next with pianist Matt Politano and Jason Gay on Sax, both making their first appearance with us, as well as Noel Okimoto and Dean Taba.  It will be an outstanding night of instrumental jazz, combining traditional jazz standards with exciting new and original compositions. Concert time is 7 p.m.  

Saturday night, February 2nd, opens with festival favorite, New Orleans pianist/vocalist Matt Lemmler. He'll be joined by Clipper Anderson and Abe Lagrimas, Jr.  The evening continues with legendary Seattle jazz singer Greta Matassa,  joined by Matt, Clipper and Abe, as well as a special guest appearance by Kauai's own Karen Dickinson. This concert will be inspiring and entertaining with outstanding singers performing some of your all time favorites. Concert time is 7 p.m.

Tickets can be bought here starting December 9 via Brown Paper Tickets (pay with PayPal) or from the church office .  Quantities are limited, so please purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment.  Any remaining tickets can be purchased at the door.

Earlybird Friday and Saturday night tickets are $45 single night or both nights for $85.  Earlybird tickets may be purchased only online and only through December 31.  Regular price Friday and Saturday night tickets will be available online starting January 1.  Prices will be $50 single night or both nights for $90.   Quantities are limited and are subject to prior sale.  Any remaining tickets will be available at the door for $60.  Hawaii GE taxes (4.16%) are added to all ticket sales.

Sunday Jazz Masses are at 8:30 am and 11 am featuring Matt Lemmler, Greta Matassa, Abe Lagrimas, Jr., and Clipper Anderson with the All Angels Jazz Mass soloists, choir, and instrumentalists. The Jazz Masses are open to the public and free.  (There will be an offering; please be generous!) Our Jazz Masses typically attract standing room only crowds.

Lihue is located on the Hawaiian island of Kauai which is a short airplane ride from Honolulu, the commercial and transportation hub of the state.  There are frequent inter-island flights from Honolulu.  In addition, Lihue has non-stop service from a number of mainland cities on Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, United Airlines, and seasonally on WestJet. The airport code for Lihue is LIH.  Many major hotel chains are represented on Kauai.
